Families from Nariño, Putumayo and Amazonas will have electricity service for the first time

The Institute for Planning and Promotion of Energy Solutions for Non-Interconnected Areas (IPSE) announced that it is carrying out the interadministrative contract with the Empresa Distribuidora del Pacífico S.A. E.S.P. (DISPAC), for the implementation of energy solutions in the non-interconnected areas of Nariño, Putumayo and Amazonas.The project seeks to implement individual photovoltaic solar solutions in 1464 homes in rural communities in different municipalities of Nariño, Putumayo and Amazonas, with an investment exceeding $32.5 billion pesos.There have already been 3 socializations with the community. The first was carried out in the community of Valencia in the municipality of Puerto Nariño, Amazonas, where the project that benefits 569 families in more than 20 areas of the department and which has an investment of more than $11 billion pesos was socialized with community leaders.The second meeting was held with leaders of the Jardines de Sucumbíos territory of Ipiales, Nariño, where an investment of $11,296 million pesos is being advanced that will benefit 525 families of that municipality in the communities of Brisas de Rumichaco, Cofania, Jardines de Sucumbío, Empalme, La Argentina, Nueva Hope and Saint Lucia.In Putumayo, the third meeting was held in Puerto Asís and was attended by the indigenous leader of Piñuñas, the Secretary of Infrastructure and the Secretary of Planning of the municipality, to discuss the project that will benefit 47 families in the municipality, with an investment of $1.043 million pesos.During the next week we will continue to socialize with the other communities that benefit from the development and implementation of this rural energy contract.It is worth remembering that on March 1, the director of IPSE, José David Insuasti, met with the community of the municipality of Paz de Ariporo, in the department of Casanare, to socialize the project that has an investment of 19 billion pesos to bring energy solutions to the rural areas of the municipality.“We bring good news for Paz de Ariporo: 550 families, from more than twenty localities in this municipality, will have energy services in their homes for the first time, confirming the commitment of the National Government to closing the energy gap through reliable and sustainable solutions,” explained José Insuasti, director of IPSE.At the meeting with the community, IPSE shared the advantages that electricity will bring, the rights that these families acquire with these photovoltaic solutions and also the duties that they must assume as beneficiaries, including the proper use of the equipment and appliances installed, as well as the timely payment of the service energy.These works are part of a contract signed between IPSE and Gensa SA ESP to implement energy solutions in the Caribbean, Andean and Orinoquia regions. In the department of Casanare it also includes 48 families from Hato Corozal and the community of the Caño Mochuelo indigenous reservation, as well as 31 families from Sabanalarga.
